A MAIL TO ALL STAFF BY SOPHA

Dear All,

This is about OUR canteen, the former PWS canteen.

I and many of my colleagues don’t regard the canteen as a “health safe” place to eat our meals. Its not hygienic at all.Reasons…..? Lots.

First of all…….last Tuesday (19.05.2009) I was suffering from an allergic problem. Cox that day I ate fried fish (theluli mas) from canteen. After 15 minutes to that meal, I was having all the dangerous symptoms of allergic. My face went maroon red, inflamed and swollen. I went to doc……..and was confirmed on that as a fish allergic. I had suffered from that for 2 days.

On Thursday I came and asked Zubba , she said………the refrigerator was switched off the other night....with raw fish in it.

So……..think about how the fish would be like…..!!!!!!!!

After that day……..I have stopped eating any cooked food from that canteen.

Some others also ate the exact fish that day. Though I haven’t found anyone else with any problem to that, canteen cant be excused of its neatness. Its not a must for everyone to be allergic or sick for that.

Secondly….today itself………one of our staffs have found a “fani” in fish which are in garudhiya.

And trust me………..there are many more problems like this.

So I think………this should be taken as a serious issue.

Most of us are females, we don’t ride cycles………so its not easy for us to go out of office for breakfast or lunch. We prefer to take our meals indoor.

Therefore……..lets do something about this pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssse………! Lets make the canteen a hygienic place.

I just wish somebody will do something abt this.
